The Parents as Teachers lady was here last night and was absolutely thrilled with some of the things that Georgia is able to do and had 2 pages of notes about all those things. Here are some of the things she was excited about:
~ Anticipating: She remembers her books and gets a smile on her face right before we read the line she likes.
~ Releasing: She gives objects to us and then waits for us to give them back.
~ Reading: She opens her books and babbles for a long time like she's reading and then turns the page.
~ Talking: This weekend she said a slow and broken "thank you".
~ Counting: Ben taught her "one, two, three" and sometimes she says the "two and three". We repeat it over and over and she starts by repeating what we say and then when we say "one", she'll pause and say "two".
~ Pointing: She points at things in the room, people and pictures in her book using her pointer finger.
~ When she's in the pool she puts her face in the water and doesn't mind it. She spits out the water, blinks her eyes and puts her face back in again. She also splashes around and kicks her legs.
~ She's starting to do sign language for drink, all done, and more.
We're very proud.
