Catching up

I'm so behind on doing the blog so here's a quick recap of the past few months. In October Ben's brother from Washington came to visit us with his family. We took them to their first Renaissance Festival, an annual event for us.

Sword fighting with cousin Luke. Notice she has a pink sword.

We've gotten a picture of Georgia with this lady every year, ever since Georgia was 3 weeks old.

Georgia and her cousins. She loved having all these boys to play with.

Wow Mom. Your belly is enormous compared to my head.

Breakfast With Santa

She had to bring her pink rock to show Santa. And what does she want for Christmas? A toy.

Going to church with her offertory bucket
The kids at church all have offertory buckets to bring their money in to donate to the building fund to expand the church. Georgia was going through a rough spell of being defiant and stubborn so I started rewarding her with money for her offertory bucket when she did things that were nice or helpful. So if she gets dressed and brushes her teeth without complaining so that we won't be late in the mornings, then she gets a coin. Then every Sunday she takes her bucket up to the front of the church where they keep the tube that the kids put their money in. All the other kids drop their money in the tube or pour their buckets in to the tube, but not Georgia. She somehow is always the first kid up there and the last one to leave. She makes her donation last through the entire hymn, picking each coin out one at a time and putting them in the tube. She's become the entertainment for the church without even knowing it. Everyone thinks she's so funny.

Helping Dad make a fire for Thanksgiving

Kissing her little brother.

Georgia is so excited about the baby because she loves babies. Even though we have a name for him, Georgia still calls him Googy. I think, to her, he will ALWAYS be Googy.

And no, we haven't moved yet. We continue to wait on the house we've been trying to buy for 9 months. It looks like we won't be moving before the baby comes which is really frustrating and disappointing to me. I'm not fond of the idea of moving with a newborn. I'd rather get it done before he comes but I just have to trust that there is a bigger reason for why it's happening this way.
